Adoption Process and Procedures
I am so happy you are adopting a new cavalier into your life! Cavaliers are very special, and this process is very important to match the right puppy to the right person or family. It is the prospective owner's and breeder's responsibility to make the perfect match between new home and puppy. Please follow the procedures below.

Procedures:
1. Educate and learn everything you can about the breed. The "Breed Standard and Health" page is a start. You want to be as educated as you can for a smooth new puppy process! We are thrilled to be able to provide healthy, sweet, quality puppies!
2. Visit the "Upcoming Litters and Puppies" page to select the puppy you are interested in. We hope you find your perfect pup! If we do not have any puppies that you are interested in, sign up for the Litter Announcements. Future show/breeding owners will be allowed to place a non-refundable deposit and be put on a short waitlist to allow for holds. Breeding prospect puppies are double the pet price and agreements must meet all guidelines including AKC and CKCS.
3. Fill out the Puppy Application. The more information you write will be helpful to this process and the puppy's future success. We are looking to build relationships and keep in contact for years to come. After we receive your application, we will call to discuss what you're looking for and answer any questions you may have. A Puppy Application does not guarantee a hold, but it does place you on a wait list. It is required prior to Step 4.
4. Puppy Announcements! Announcements will be sent via group email to those signed up. Individuals will be contacted in the following order and be a set time to respond. If there is no response to the individual email/phone/text, then they will be removed off the list and will lose any deposit. Priority will be as follows: First priority will be given to our breeder program, second to show/breeding contracts with deposits, third to therapy/facility contracts with deposits plus add'l fees, fourth ESA contracts with deposits plus add'l fees, and lastly pet contracts with deposits. Finally, to waitlist pet applicants without contracts/deposits based on the order they were received and based on their selections. Only after everyone on the list had the opportunity to respond will the puppies be available to the general public.
5. Contracts and Non-refundable Deposits: You have chosen your pup, application has been accepted, and now will be sent a contract via email. You will have 24 hrs to pay your non-refundable deposit and return your completed contract. If 24 hrs have passed without completing the deposit and contract, you will lose your non-refundable deposit, be taken off the list, and the puppy will be placed back up for adoption. Please contact us before this situation occurs as we may be able to move your deposit to the next litter if need.
6. Puppy Pick Up Day! We will hold your puppy, love and kisses too, until 8-10 weeks old. We will send updates and pictures as the little ones learn and explore their big world! It is such an exciting time and arranged visits after puppies first shots can be scheduled. New owners are expected to make travel arrangements as we do not arrange shipping or delivery of puppies and will not allow cargo shipping. Travel nannies are a service you can arrange if you cannot pick them up yourself.

We are so happy to be able to bring so much joy into your life! Thank you for consideration!
